  Tohatsu MFS50 EPTL

  The Tohatsu range of mid-range outboards are equipped with Battery-less Electronic Fuel Injection technology for optimum fuel efficiency. Many of these outboards boast the title of 'lightest in their class' whilst continuing to uphold the quality engineering consistent with Japanese developed and manufactured products.

  These engines are available in a wide variety of models ranging from manual start to fully loaded with remote steering, power trim and tilt. Ultra Long extension kits are also available for all models as well as the option of fitting multifunction tiller handles to enhance usability for those not requiring remote steering.

  Models available:

  • EPTL – Long shaft, electric start, power trim and remote steering
  • EPTS – Short shaft, electric start, power trim and remote steering
  • Can also be fitted with a Multifunction Tiller Handle to replace the remote control box if tiller control with electric start and power trim is preferred.
  • EPTL and EPTS models are supplied with a side mount remote control box, tachometer and trim meter as standard (Pre-Rigging Kit).
  • Now available in Aqua Black or Beluga White.

  The Tohatsu range of smaller portable outboards offer some unique features not widely available on the market. These include through the propeller hub exhaust to minimize noise. The twist type throttle grip is standard on all models and the front mounted gear lever is key to easy operation. There is a convenient, ergonomically designed carry handle to improve portability. Also now available in this range is the unique LPG powered MFS5C LPG which is leading the way in green technology.

  Weighing only 13.5kg, our DF2.5 is the lightest 2.5hp four stroke on the market – it is so light that you’ll forget that it’s a four stroke!

  There are a range of features that you wouldn’t expect on such a small outboard, including F-N Gear shift, water-cooling and a 1 litre fuel tank that will last you for hours.

  With a big carrying handle, the engine is easily lifted on and off a tender or pontoon while the 4 tilt positions ensure that you can set the engine to your boat’s requirements.

  To give you even more flexibility when choosing your outboard, the DF2.5 is now also available as a long shaft model.
