Hull design
The modern white hull makes for a clean look and is designed for excellent sea-keeping qualities. Combining a smooth ride with stability. A defined V and reasonably flat bottom with skeg to the stern reduces “weave” at low speeds. Spectrum’s moulded non-slip deck system on all tread areas. Navigation lights.
Buoyancy:
The under-floor buoyancy chamber is foam-filled to give buoyancy.
 Cockpit
The generous cockpit makes the Spectrum 480 ideal for fishing, diving, and family fun. Furnished with high quality vinyl cushions for all seating. A removable side bench seat creates even more deck space. The cockpit has 2 self-draining points as well a electric bilge pump below deck.
Windows:
The windows are polycarbonate and are fastened with stainless steel screws to resist wave impact, an essential feature for seaworthiness.
Steering System
The Spectrum 480 is equipped as standard with top quality, Teleflex Negative feedback steering system, No Feedback is a built into the helm which locks out steering loads caused by propeller torque thus minimizing the effects of the feedback and minimizing the effort on the operator to steer the boat and with a comfortable 5 spoke padded steering wheel.
Deck
Deep anchor locker to the bow with drainage. Two heavy duty stainless steel stern cleats are provided in addition to the foredeck mooring Cleat. Non slip gelcoat deck.
Grab Rails:
The standard equipment includes full-length stainless steel grab rails to both sides of the cockpit and a full pulpit to the bow of the boat.
Cabin
Inside the cabin there is a comfortable place for crew to shelter from the weather or to have the occasional night's sleep. Cushions are supplied as standard, and they can be colour coordinated with the hull of the boat. Anodised aluminium framed and glazed front hatch to provide more light and ventilation into the cabin.
Spectrum 480 Pilothouse - designed for both boat anglers and people who like active recreation on the water. The Pilothouse has an addition of a high of 1.25 m extended wheelhouse, providing comfort and protection for captain and crew during bad weather.
The cockpit features easy-to-clean Teak effect self-draining flooring with a non-slip white gelcoat option. For the serious fisherman out there, there is a bench for additional seating on the starboard side, which can be removed for an even bigger cockpit. We offer options of top quality folding captain seats and even a folding side crew seat. All options can be seen in our Gallery
Stable at speed
The Pilothouse has excellent sea keeping qualities.
With its deep "V" from the bow, shallowing to a stable stern. These boats have proved to be uncompromised in the U.K coastal waters.
Economical
The 480 Pilothouse performs with a Tohatsu MFS 40hp with speeds up to 24 Knotts, this makes the Spectrum an excellent choice for those boaters who are looking for excellent economy.
15 lph at WOT
Whilst performing at speed the Spectrum still remains stable and has the feel of a larger boat.
Protection from the elements
The Spectrum's Pilothouse and cockpit design keeps you warm and dry in all weathers.
The cockpit features a footwell bilge pump, stainless steel foot support, under seat storage, bifold cabin door with spring activated hatch and a moulded instrument display.
